1K primer for application on plastic.

It is an intermediate layer and improves adhesion between plastic and coating paint.

Surfaces that can be used:

Steel.
Aluminum.
Polyester putties.
Old varnish coating.

Surface preparation:

The metal surface must be polished by the method of «dry» P80-120 and degrease.
Treat the aluminum surface with a special fiber (scotch Bright Fine, scotch Bright Very Fine).
Grind the putty by «to dry» P120-240.
Grind the old varnish coating by «dry» P220-280.

Mixing proportions:

Acrylic primer MIXON 301 – 3 parts by volume. Hardener MIXON 311 – 1 part by volume. MIXON 740 diluent – 10-15% by volume of mixture. Application time from the moment of mixing with the hardener – 1 hour at 20°С.

Drying time:

3 hours at 20°С. 30 minutes at 60°С.
Grinding:
Grinding by the «dry» method: mechanical – P320-400; manual – P360-500.
By the method of “on wet”: mechanical – P600-1000; manual – P800-1000.

Instructions for use:

Adhering to the proportions, mix the components to a uniform consistency. Apply in 2-3 layers with a gun with a nozzle diameter of 1.5-1.8 mm under a pressure of 3-4 bar with an interval between layers of 5-10 minutes. Spray viscosity 25-35 sec. DIN 4 at 20°С. The thickness of one layer is 40-50 microns.

Storage conditions and time:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources. Avoid direct sunlight. Primer – 24 months at a temperature of 20°С. Hardener – 18 months at a temperature of 20°С.
