Primer for non-ferrous metals Etch Primer
One-component primer based on alkyd modified resin.
It is used for all non-ferrous and galvanized metals (aluminum, galvanized steel, ferrous metal, etc.). The advantage is quick drying, thanks to which repairs can be carried out very quickly.
Surfaces that can be used:
- Steel.
- Galvanized steel.
- Galvanized surface.
- Aluminum.
- Polyester putties.
- Old varnish coating.
Surface preparation:
- The metal surface must be polished by the method of «dry» P80-120 and degrease.
- Treat the aluminum surface with a special fiber (scotch Bright Fine, scotch Bright Very Fine).
- Grind the putty by the method of «dry» P120-240.
- Grind the old varnish coating by «dry» P220-280.
Diluent:
15-25% MIXON 740 acrylic diluent is added.
Drying time:
45-60 min. for 20°С. 15 minutes for 60°С.
Grinding:
It is processed by the “dry” method with P360-500 sanding paper, by the “method with wet” sanding paper P600-1000.
Instructions for use:
Mix the primer thoroughly and dilute to the desired viscosity before application. Apply 2-3 layers with a paint gun with a nozzle diameter of 1.5-1.8 mm under a pressure of 3-4 bar with an interval between layers of 5-10 minutes. Spray viscosity 25-35 sec. DIN 4 at 20°С.
Storage conditions and time:
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources. Avoid direct sunlight. The shelf life is 24 months at a temperature of 20°C.
