Anti-corrosion primer Mixon 992

1K quick-drying anti-corrosion primer based on modified alkyd resin.

It has excellent adhesion to various types of surfaces (black metal, polyester putties, old coatings). Provides good anti-corrosion protection of the surface when applied to bare metal, as well as reliable insulation of synthetic, acrylic and basic enamels (metallics) from polyester putties. It is characterized by a good ability to fill – fill scratches and small irregularities left after processing putties. Dries quickly and is easily polished. Does not contain zinc chloride.

Surfaces that can be used:

• Steel.
• Aluminum.
• Polyester putties.
• Old varnish coating.

Surface preparation:

• The metal surface must be polished by the method of «dry» P80-120 and degrease.
• Treat the aluminum surface with a special fiber (scotch Bright Fine, scotch Bright Very Fine).
• Grind the putty by «to dry» P120-240.
• Grind the old varnish coating by «dry» P220-280.

Diluent:

Add 15-25% MIXON R-647 or R-650 diluent.

Instructions for use:

Mix the primer thoroughly before application, dilute to the desired viscosity. Apply 2-3 layers with a paint gun with a nozzle diameter of 1.5-1.8 mm under a pressure of 3-4 bar with an interval between layers of 5-10 minutes. Spray viscosity 25-35 sec. DIN 4 at 20°С.

Drying time:

25-30 minutes for 20°С.

Grinding:

It is processed by the «dry» method with P360-500 sanding paper, by the “method with wet” sanding paper P600-1000.

Storage conditions and time:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from the heat source.
Avoid direct sunlight. The shelf life is 24 months at a temperature of 20°C.
