Acrylic primer Silver Line 3+1

2K acrylic powder filling primer included in the MIXON SILVER LINE product series.

It has excellent adhesion to various types of surfaces (steel, aluminum, polyester putties, old coatings). Provides good insulation of synthetic, acrylic and basic (metallic) auto enamels from polyester putties. It is characterized by good filling capacity. Dries quickly and is easily polished.

Surfaces that can be used:

• Steel.
• Aluminum.
• Polyester putties.
• Old varnish coating.

Surface preparation:

• The metal surface must be polished by the method of «dry» P80-120 and degrease.
• Treat the aluminum surface with a special fiber (scotch Bright Fine, scotch Bright Very Fine).
• Grind the putty by «to dry» P120-240.
• Grind the old varnish coating by «dry» P220-280.

Mixing proportions:

Acrylic primer MIXON 321 – 3 parts by volume. Hardener MIXON 725, 726, 727 – 1 part by volume. MIXON 740 Diluent – 15-25% by volume of mixture. Application time from the moment of mixing with the hardener – 1 hour at 20°С.

Drying time:

3 hours at 20°С. 30 minutes per 60°С.

Grinding:

Grinding by the «dry» method: mechanical – P320-400; manual – P360-500;
By the method of “on wet”: mechanical – P600-1000; manual – P800-1000.

Instructions for use:

Adhering to the proportions, mix the components to a uniform consistency. Apply in 2-3 layers with a gun with a nozzle diameter of 1.5-1.8 mm under a pressure of 3-4 bar with an interval between layers of 5-10 minutes. Spray viscosity 25-35 sec. DIN 4 at 20°С. The thickness of one layer is 30-40 microns.

Storage conditions and time:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources. Avoid direct sunlight. Primer – 24 months at a temperature of 20°С. Hardener – 18 months at a temperature of 20°С.
